UK businesses spent the back half of 2025 quietly realising that "rank on Google" wasn't a complete answer anymore. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Claude were citing some businesses and not others — and the ones being cited were getting warmer leads from a smaller pool of higher-converting traffic. By 2026, "GEO" (Generative Engine Optimisation, or its identical-twin acronym AEO — Answer Engine Optimisation) became its own service line at most UK SEO agencies and a productised standalone offer at a growing number of specialist firms.

This guide names sixteen UK agencies offering GEO/AEO as a service in 2026, organised by price band. Pricing is cited verbatim where the agency publishes it. Where it doesn't, we've used industry comparables and said so explicitly.

The four price bands

The UK GEO market splits cleanly into four tiers. Each tier has a different model behind it — different deliverables, different team structure, different buyer.

Band 1: Monitoring & audit-led — £99–£500/month

What you get: Audit, action checklist, monthly monitoring of citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews. Sometimes a one-off implementation fee on top. You implement most or all of the recommendations yourself.

Who delivers it: Single-operator firms and lean teams marketing transactional audit-and-monitor offers.

Who it's for: Businesses with internal content/dev capacity who want the diagnostics and a checklist, not the implementation.

Named providers in this band:

  • AEO-REX. The cheapest published-price entry on the UK market. Starter Audit £99 (one-off), Full Implementation £499 (one-off), Monthly Monitoring £99/month. Three productised SKUs, hard split between one-off and recurring. (Source: AEO-REX pricing page.)
  • Sort The Clicks — GEO Insights. Hertfordshire-based sole-operator agency. £250/month monitoring-only with monthly visibility report across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, plus a 30-minute consultation call and an action checklist. You implement the changes yourself. Insights is monitoring-only — the actual done-for-you work sits in Band 2 below.
  • Tilio. Plans from £499/month; custom plans available above. Specialism: regulated sectors — healthcare, finance, legal, cybersecurity, insurance. Their angle is "Citation Fidelity" — making sure AI describes your brand accurately, not just frequently. (Source: Tilio pricing page.)

Band 2: Done-for-you SME — £600–£1,500/month

What you get: Done-for-you implementation. Schema markup, llms.txt, FAQPage and Article schema rollout, hero rewrites, on-page restructure, content production at typically 1–2 articles a month, monitoring across the major AI engines, monthly reporting.

Who delivers it: Small productised agencies and sole operators. The most underserved band in the current UK market.

Who it's for: Owner-operated UK small businesses without internal SEO/content capacity who want the work done for them at a sustainable monthly fee.

Named providers in this band:

  • Sort The Clicks — GEO Managed. £600/month. Done-for-you. Schema markup, llms.txt, hero rewrites and FAQPage on every service page in month one. One pillar or spoke article per month after that. On-page optimisation. Monthly performance report. The hands-off tier most clients start on. Sole-operator delivery — no account manager, no junior layer.
  • Bamsh Digital. £799/month +VAT, single tier, rolling monthly. Specialism: local trades, hospitality, professional services. SEO and AEO bundled together. Strong on Google Business Profile and local AI answer optimisation. (Source: Bamsh AEO page.)
  • SuperHub. Devon-based; combined SEO + AI from £299–£899/month per third-party reporting. Their CitationFirst™ methodology positions GEO inside broader marketing. SMEs wanting AI visibility wrapped into a single retainer. (Source: SuperHub competitive listings; pricing not on hero page.)
  • Sort The Clicks — GEO Premium. £1,200/month. Everything in Managed, plus two articles per month, external citation work (directory listings, guest posts, podcast outreach), competitor displacement campaigns, and a quarterly strategy review. For businesses serious about owning their topic.

Band 3: Premium productised — £1,500–£3,500/month

What you get: Productised mid-to-high retainers. Heavier content production (often 4+ articles/month), proprietary methodology naming (Synaptic Authority Engine, Neural frameworks, etc.), more agencies offering monthly reporting platforms or third-party citation trackers (Otterly.ai, etc.).

Who delivers it: Multi-person productised agencies with publicised pricing ladders.

Who it's for: Established small-to-mid businesses with £50k–£200k annual marketing budgets who want a published-tier pricing structure and methodology to point at internally.

Named providers in this band:

  • MarGen. £1,500–£3,500/month; 3-month minimum. Sheffield-based. Targeting SMEs with £50k–£200k annual marketing budgets. Synaptic Authority Engine methodology — "purpose-built for GEO." (Source: MarGen GEO for SMEs page.)
  • Whitehat SEO. Done-With-You at £1,967/month; Done-For-You at £2,967/month. Plus content add-ons at £90–£250 per article. B2B specialism, HubSpot integration. The most concrete published-tier ladder in this band. Their stat anchor — "AI-referred visitors convert 3–6× higher" — is widely cited. (Source: Whitehat AEO pricing page; ex VAT.)
  • NeuralAdX — Core tier. £2,000/month entry tier. Three productised tiers tied to citation-volume guarantees (Core: "double in 6 months"; Pro at £5,000: "triple in 6 months"; Elite at £10,000: bespoke). Otterly.ai citation tracking on every tier. The only UK provider offering explicit citation-volume guarantees. (Source: NeuralAdX UK pricing page.)

Band 4: Enterprise custom-quote — £4,000–£10,000+/month

What you get: Full-stack delivery. Strategy, technical SEO, GEO, content engineering, digital PR, sometimes paid + CRO bundled. Trademarked methodology. Enterprise stakeholder management. C-suite-facing reporting.

Who delivers it: Established UK SEO/marketing agencies that have added GEO as a primary service line.

Who it's for: Mid-market and enterprise. Multi-stakeholder content workflows. Regulated sectors at scale. Brands where the agency name itself has commercial value.

Where to look first, by buyer type

Three honest scenarios for choosing a band:

You're a UK small business with internal capacity to implement. Start in Band 1. £99/month AEO-REX monitoring or £250/month Sort The Clicks Insights gives you the diagnostics and an action plan you implement yourself. Don't pay done-for-you prices for work you can do in two hours a week.

You're an owner-operated UK small business without internal SEO/content capacity. Band 2 is the highest-leverage tier. £600/month Sort The Clicks Managed or £799/month Bamsh Digital covers the foundations and ongoing content. Skip Band 3 unless you specifically need their methodology naming or their tier ladder for internal reporting reasons.

You're a mid-market or enterprise business with multi-stakeholder content workflows. Band 4 is the right answer. Pick by sector specialism: Tilio if you're regulated; Passion Digital or The SEO Works for enterprise generalist; Charle for ecommerce; Builtvisible for B2B/SaaS. Expect £4,000–£10,000/month and a 6–12 month engagement minimum.

Two things to watch out for

  1. "GEO" sold as one new bullet on an existing SEO retainer. Some agencies have rebadged "we'll add some FAQ schema" as "full GEO included" without changing the price or the deliverables. Ask for the GEO-specific deliverable list — schema rollout, llms.txt, content production, citation tracking platform, monthly AI engine reporting — separately from SEO. If they can't list ten distinct things, they're not running GEO; they're running 2024 SEO with a new sticker on the box.
  2. Outcome guarantees with no audit. NeuralAdX is the only UK provider offering explicit citation-volume guarantees, and they do it from a £2,000/month price floor — not a £99 introductory tier. Anyone offering "guaranteed AI citations" at £200/month is selling hope, not a methodology. The honest agencies guarantee the foundations and monitoring, then let the citations follow.

The honest summary

UK GEO pricing is bimodal in 2026. A small productised cluster at £99–£800/month, mostly monitoring or audit-led. A premium productised cluster at £1,500–£3,500/month with proprietary methodology and tier ladders. An enterprise custom-quote tier at £4,000+ with full-stack delivery. The done-for-you SME band — £600–£1,200/month — is genuinely sparse and is where most owner-operated UK small businesses should be looking.

The right agency depends on your sector, your internal capacity, and whether you need the methodology naming for internal stakeholder reasons. For most owner-operated UK small businesses who just want the work done well, the £600/month done-for-you tier is the highest-leverage spend.
